Abstraction Series #1 by Dustywallpaper
Abstraction Series #1
So mom said I could rent a booth at this awesome art store on main street! :) So I was testing out some techniques, and I started a line of abstract female painting portraits, (totally random) but they are really fun! I don't constrict to perfection, I go with the flow and its really relaxing.

So since I have a few of these paintings I just decided to call it abstraction, hurr hurr. More soon!

Guatemalan abstract portrait. by Dustywallpaper
Guatemalan abstract portrait.
So I watched this really informative documentary about what its like to live off of a dollar a day in Guatemala, (or less) and it inspired me to make this, Mostly marker and pen, with colored pencils and gouache paint. Looks more African, but oh well.

it's a a few inches bigger then a postcard.

I was thinking about making cards like this and selling them and donating all the money to Guatemalan education, or help with microfinances. (just a loose thought) This was sort of my test to try out the style I was imagining. I'm making a blue themed one at the moment.

What do you guys think? I got a bit messed up in the torso shape and coloring her skin.

Heres a trailer for the documentary www.youtube.com/user/Livingono…

definetly a great film to watch! :) I used Netflix.
