Carlitos the cockatoo (drawing/painting)

Ok so I made a cockatoo drawing for 's contest! it looks a little weird but it's cause I wanted to fit all of the requirments! I tried to fit in alot of details, I tried to make him cute, and made a fancy background, and his personality was most important to depict so I surounded him by his love of cheerios with what else, but cheerios!!! I also used alot of different mediums, watercolors, pencil, marker, pen, chalk pencils, glue, glitter and white out! pretty crazy I put on glitter for a shiny coat of feather but I ended up scraping it off, so there still is a slight glitter, I started it all in pencil outlines then the long tedious journey of pen, and watercolors! I also added a little red heart on the petal of the flower closest to the cheerio he is eating it symbolizes his love for cheerios! and I painted it on on Valentines day!!! I had so much fun making this! but it has also been a pain in the butt! it was one of the hardest drawings I have ever made!!! the tree branch was hard to paint without looking plane and boring and brown, and the flowers were a later Idea too. I wanted more color and his white coat looked so unfinished so I tried to add some shadows, I also added a splash of rain water I collected for a natural look....not that rain water has a look and my gosh THE FEATHERS tough but fun! but yeah it was really tough but in the end I like what I made of the lovely Carlitos!
